She helps patients combat sickness and regain their health by balancing hormones and finding strength in themselves and the community that surrounds them.

Danielle Lewis, ND, is a Naturopathic Doctor whose goal is to constantly reinvent herself so she can lead by example and empower her patients. She is a firm believer in the fact that we all have the power to heal ourselves if we are equipped with the right knowledge and have the willpower. At Harmony Integrative Healthcare, Dr. Lewis provides personalized, integrative care to the community of Midtown Phoenix, Arizona, and the surrounding area.

Dr. Lewis’ journey to becoming a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine started over 15 years ago in the field of Physical Therapy. She attained her degree from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and has a bachelor’s degree from Old Dominion University in Health Science and Management. After graduating from Naturopathic Medical School, Dr. Lewis completed two years of residency in Phoenix, Arizona, in a setting that focused on women’s medicine and primary care.

At Harmony Integrative Healthcare, Dr. Lewis treats common conditions that affect women of all ages. She is certified in Holistic Pelvic Care™, a technique she uses to help women with pelvic pain, incontinence, postpartum healing, and painful sex, and is skilled in acupuncture and other pain management therapies. Dr. Lewis combines her background in physical therapy with her knowledge of injection techniques that restore normal function and decrease joint pain. She also conducted medical research on the clinical applications and effectiveness of botanical therapies in treating common digestive issues such as SIBO.

Dr. Lewis believes that it is important to support organizations that increase the availability and knowledge about Naturopathic Medicine. She is a proud member of the Arizona Naturopathic Medical Association (AZNMA) and the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP). While in school, she sat on the board of the Naturopathic Advocate and Community Awareness Team (N-Act).

Dr. Lewis’ daily healing comes from her enjoyment of music, dancing, shooting the breeze with intellectuals, and giving back through her community and global health endeavors. She loves living in beautiful Arizona because she can spend most of the year outside enjoying activities such as hiking and swimming.


About Anna-Maria DeCarolis, NMD

Dr. DeCarolis is a Naturopathic Doctor who assists her patients with achieving their best quality of life. Whether it is minimizing pain or harmonizing hormones, she takes a holistic approach when addressing her patient’s concerns. She will tailor your care plans to your individual needs, taking a cooperative approach to you achieving your treatment goals. While she is passionate about implementing the variety of Naturopathic treatments she has to offer, your health will always be the priority. She will meet you where you are on your healthcare journey.

Her goal, both personally and professionally, is to continually keep an open mind and regularly reassess where growth can be made. She maintains the perspective that knowledge is power, and educating people sets the foundation for them to take control of their health.

Primarily Dr. DeCarolis treats conditions that many people struggle with including abnormal menses, peri/post-menopausal symptoms, fatigue, insomnia, mood changes, and digestive concerns. She most often uses modalities such as acupuncture, botanical medicine, and nutrition to work on the root causes of disease, but she is open to researching most therapies you would be interested in utilizing.

Dr. DeCarolis became certified as a Colon Hydrotherapist and has been an instructor for Colon Hydrotherapy for several years. This introduction to utilizing preventative care techniques inspired her to become a Naturopathic Doctor.

Dr. DeCarolis received her Bachelor of Science in Biology emphasizing in Pre-Medicine from Grand Canyon University. She then went on to study for her doctorate at Sonoran University of Health Sciences (formerly Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine). She graduated from Sonoran University as aa part of the Community Medicine honors track.

During her studies, she actively participated in Naturopaths Without Borders, providing health services to people without access to care. She is passionate about teaching her patients a variety of traditional techniques and medicines that they can implement at home, providing preventative care to all her patients.

Dr. DeCarolis is a member of the American Herbalist Guild (AHG) as well as the Arizona Naturopathic Medical Association (AZNMA) and the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP). She believes that having a sense of community is necessary to facilitate learning and high standards for care within the field.

Outside of the office Dr. DeCarolis regularly brings herbal medicine practices into her home. She enjoys everything from harvesting plants while hiking, to making her own herbal extracts. Often, she will be experimenting in the kitchen, incorporating her love of plants with her love of cooking. When you see her for a visit, make sure to ask what recipes she has been trying out!
